Ah yes! The world of online affiliate marketing. As an enthusiastic beginner, there’s no need to worry about trying to understand a bunch of gibberish. We’ll lay everything out for you in easy to understand, simple language.
This introduction to ‘Bootcamp training’ get straight to the point! Easy to understand info regarding how affiliates can succeed in online marketing. Lets get started!
Keep in mind, these basic elements which we’ll break down: Interest (Niche), Content, Traffic, Rankings, Making Money:
Lets place more emphasis on the breakdown using order of importance, regarding these five elements.
To gain full value of this information, keep in mind that it’s so important that you read to the end.
1)Interest (Niche):
Before you even start thinking about putting a website together, what will it be about? What’s your passion that you’d like to share with others? Every beginning entrepreneur starts here.
Is fashion your favorite thing? Maybe cooking is more up your alley. Maybe promoting exercising equipment or running shoes is your thing.
What ever your niche is, you’d be surprised how many other folks out there will be interested in what you do, and would like to know more. (You’d become a fan favorite!)
And don’t worrying about the cost to start up your website. If you start off right away thinking about how much it’s gonna cost to build your first website, then you will lose focus on what idea you want your site to be about.

2)Content:
Good website content provides value to readers and promotes your brand (By brand, we mean your idea/passion/niche). To do this, it needs to be clear, engaging, and tailored to your target audiences. Your web copy should match the search intent of your potential customer.
Lets say, for example, you’re promoting home alarm systems. You have convincing content copy on your website. You promote the best system out there.
Now lets’ say someone, somewhere around the world, is sitting at their computer searching for such a product. They read your content, pricing, etc; which convinces them that you have the ‘Real Deal.’
Through the affiliate program you’re with, if that person makes a purchase through your site, then you earn a commission on each sale. And just think, depending on high the commissions are, you can make a great deal of money.
I only used the home alarm system as an example. It could be e books, articles, recipes, home decor, clothes, exercising equipment, art supplies etc; (You get the picture? The list is endless!)
You want to be a ‘problem solver’ to your readers/visitors! Let your website be the solution.
3)Traffic:
Website traffic is important for many reasons. The more people see your site, the more potential customers you will have.
The number of visitors to your website becomes the number of opportunities your business has at giving an impression, generating qualified leads, sharing your brand and building relationships.
Once you’re up and running and become more experienced each week, you’ll be able to gauge your traffic input through something called ‘Google Analytics.’
The percentage of returning visitors to your site should be around 30%. (Anything less than that would be considered below average).
If you maintain a return visitor rate at 50% then this is considered good!
4)Rankings:
In regards to online affiliate marketing, it begins with your ‘passion’ and ‘desire.’ Working hard on your business will start generating traffic. A steady flow of traffic is the Life Blood of any business. You may ask, “What is important in website ranking?”
When it comes to ranking, Quality, authoritative content is the number one driver of your search engine rankings and there is no substitute for great content – this is especially true when doing SEO marketing.
Quality content created specifically for your intended user increases site traffic, which improves your site’s authority and relevance.
It was discussed some of the more common methods of getting your content ranked in search engines like Google, Bing and Yahoo.
Having a solid base of content on your website, and building it out in a way that leads to rankings (and traffic), will lead to long term sustainability.
